WHO WE ARE

The Children's Home is a place where children learn to smile and families learn to flourish! It is not one individual program that makes us successful, but the combination of all services that make our care to children and families complete.

RESIDENTIAL LIFE
At our nationally recognized and accredited residential treatment home, the 50 to 70 children who live on our campus begin their journey toward complete healing…mind, body and spirit.  We specialize in caring for children who have been victims of abuse, neglect or abandonment, ages 5-17.  From individualized therapy to balanced meals, our boys and girls learn to understand their past and realize their dreams for a promising future.

FOSTER CARE, ADOPTION AND KINSHIP CARE
We make a strong commitment to find a "forever" family for the children in our care.  Our S.E.A.R.C.H. (So Every Available Ready Child has a Home) Department is a team of professionals exclusively committed to recruiting, preparing and supporting permanent families for our boys and girls. Every child deserves a home, and we are dedicated to finding one for each of them. With ongoing services for adoptive and foster care families, we help ensure a successful transition for both the family and the child.

COMMUNITY-BASED CARE
As one of the collaborative partners in Hillsborough Kids, Inc. (HKI), we help care for and manage cases for thousands of children with verified cases of abuse and neglect.  As we pursue our mission to empower families and keep children safe, our involvement with HKI gives us the opportunity to further impact foster care, adoption, early intervention, and child welfare.

FAMILY SUPPORT CENTERS
Parenting is a difficult task that no one should face alone.  The Family Support Center programs focus on early intervention and care to children and families who are struggling with a variety of social needs.  From teaching parents how to speak English to coaching young mothers how to properly care for their children, the Family Support Center's programs serve thousands of families and children each year!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We cannot provide the support to children and families without the help of our committed volunteers.  Volunteers can help in a variety of ways, including recreation, tutoring, family visitation, transportation, office assistance and more.
