OPEN POSITIONS

Volunteer and In-Kind Giving Coordinator

As an integral part of the Benevon model for sustainable funding, plans, implements and maintains effective volunteer and in-kind giving programs including recruiting, screening, and coordinating volunteer placement with other CHI staff and securing in-kind donations to help off-set the organizations budget. Builds relationships with individuals, businesses and organizations interested in volunteering and collecting in-kind donations. May supervise volunteers on special projects. Participates in the organization’s continuous quality improvement efforts.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Communications or other directly related field from an accredited college or university; Two (2) years experience in recruitment, selection, coordinating placement of volunteers in a social services setting or similar work that demonstrates the ability to manage a volunteer program. Supervisory experience preferred.

 

Donor Services Associate (Part-time)

Provides support to Resource Development including data entry, mailing support, report preparation and other administrative tasks as directed. Participates in organization’s continuous quality improvement efforts.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma/GED and 1 year experience in an administrative environment required. Excellent computer and customer services skills required. Experience using Microsoft Windows, Word and Excel and database applications required. Strong attention to detail required. Experience using Raiser’s Edge preferred.

 

Primary Caregiver

Responsible work providing for the daily care, safety and welfare for an assigned primary family of 3 to 4 clients providing for the health, and security of clients in the residential program. Provides and documents Behavioral Health Overlay Services (BHOS) to clients with direction from the Individual/Family Therapist. Participates in organization’s continuous quality improvement efforts.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Graduation with a BA degree from an accredited college or university in a Human Service field with a minimum of one year experience in a residential setting. Equivalent education and experience maybe considered, meaning 2 years of experience is needed for every 1 year of education.

 

Primary Support Worker

Assists in providing for the daily care, safety and welfare for a cottage program of 10 to 12 youth. Assists in guiding youth through their treatment program, while providing for the health, and security of youth in the residential program. The position will involve transportation of children in an approved agency vehicle. Provides and documents Behavioral Health Overlay Services to children with direction from the Individual/ Family /Therapist. Participates in organization’s continuous quality improvement efforts.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Associates degree from an accredited college or university with 1 year experience working with children, or a High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years extensive experience working with children. Equivalent education and experience maybe considered, meaning 2 years of experience is needed for every 1 year of education.

Care Manager

Provide continuity of care, with aim for permanent placement, for children through a care management model that includes developing, expanding, accessing, and linking resources in the community to the needs of the child throughout the child’s experience in the system, while documenting progress. Participates in organization’s continuous quality improvement efforts.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Criminology, or Human Services plus one (1) year experience in providing social service, child development, family services or working in a childcare setting.

 

Thrift Store Retail Associate (Part-time)    

Provides excellent customer service and retail floor support including maintaining routine orderliness and organization of merchandise in store and the check-out of shoppers making purchases. Operates a cash register. Participates in organization’s continuous quality improvement efforts.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years customer service experience - some retail experience preferred. Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.

 

Clinical Services Admissions Coordinator

Responsible professional position involving assessment, screening, networking with referral sources and on-call responsibilities for the Residential and Outpatient Mental Health Services. Participates in organization’s continuous quality improvement efforts.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Master’s degree in a mental health field from an accredited college or university.

Experience:  2 years experience working in the child welfare area.

Licenses & Certifications:  Licensed Mental Health professional.

Medicaid provider preferred

 

 

All positions:

• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license with no record of criminal driving offense of license suspension, subject to insurability with The Children's Home’s current auto insurance carrier.

• Must possess means of providing job related transportation and show proof of required insurance.

• Must successfully complete and maintain Department of Children & Families, FDLE, Federal background check, state criminal background check and sexual predator screening.
