OPEN POSITIONS

 

Family Support Worker

 

Works under the family support worker supervisor. Provides support and assistance to optimize the home environment for the physical, emotional and social well being of the parent/child family units assigned.  Participates in the organization’s continuous quality improvement efforts.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 year experience in working with infants and young children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned, or are at risk of abuse, neglect or abandonment.

 

Children’s Mental Health Targeted Case Manager

 

Responsible professional work delivering intensive coordination of Mental Health Services, linking client/parents/guardians to mental health treatment services utilizing a multi-model approach with individuals, groups, siblings or families. Involves a broad range of training and development activities, transportation, and caseload consultation and requires quality documentation of services provided and completed under the supervision of a licensed professional.  Participates in organization’s continuous quality improvement efforts.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Responsible professional work delivering intensive coordination of Mental Health Services, linking client/parents/guardians to mental health treatment services utilizing a multi-model approach with individuals, groups, siblings or families. Involves a broad range of training and development activities, transportation, and caseload consultation and requires quality documentation of services provided and completed under the supervision of a licensed professional.  Participates in organization’s continuous quality improvement efforts.

 

Program Coordinator (PST)

 

Responsible professional work coordinating the delivery of family support services utilizing a broad range of community services and natural support systems.  Requires knowledge of what constitutes quality documentation of services provided.  Monitors performance of independent contractors who deliver services.  Participates in organization’s performance and quality improvement efforts.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Master’s Degree in Social Work or other related field with at least four (4) years of experience in the mental health field with a minimum of one (1) year in a  supervisory position.  Must be licensed in the State of Florida as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

 

Donor Advancement & Grants Director

 

Responsible professional work coordinating donor advancement efforts related to the Benevon model of sustainable funding and identifying, cultivating and soliciting gifts from private and corporate foundations, and grant-giving public organizations and agencies.  Identifies organizational needs and works with appropriate staff and leadership level volunteers to develop mission-driven proposals for consideration by potential funders and individual donors.   Participates in organization’s continuous quality improvement efforts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in English, Business Administration, Non-Profit Management or related field plus minimum of 5 years experience in successful grant writing and major gift solicitation.

Donation Receiving Helper (Part time Reserve Pool)

Responsible for assisting with the pick-up and delivery of donated items, entering donor’s homes and/or businesses to remove donations in a professional and thankful manner.  Performs manual labor for donation pick-ups and processing on an as-needed basis. Works in the Thrift Store or other assigned locations with handling merchandise and other tasks as directed.  Provides excellent customer service.  Participates in the organization’s Performance & Quality improvement efforts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED.  Driver’s license preferred. Customer service skills required. 

Program Services Assistant

Provides administrative support and billing services for various programs engaged in delivering mental health services to clients and families. Programs supported include but are not limited to Residential Clinic, Outpatient Services including Infant Mental Health Program, and SEARCH.  All assignments coordinated through Clinical Services Director.  Participates in organization’s performance and quality improvement efforts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Medical Billing, Health Administration or related field. Minimum of two (2) years experience working in business office environment. Medicaid billing experience preferred. Experience working in a Community mental health or residential treatment setting preferred.

Campus Coordinator 

Responsible work monitoring campus activities ensuring a safe, effective environment is maintained. Performs campus-wide responsibilities including centralized incident reporting, coordination of campus logistics and staffing ratios.   Participates in organization’s Continuous Quality improvement efforts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a Human Service field and a minimum of 2 years experience in a Residential Treatment setting. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience may be substituted for education on a the basis of 2 years of experience may be substituted for every 1 year of education.

HR INTERN

Serves as Intern assisting Human Resources staff in administering various HR-related functions. Participates in special projects as assigned by the Human Resources Director.  Internship is specifically designed to provide training in the Human Resources field.  A detailed training plan will be provided.  (Non Paid)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Full-time student enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program or completing sophomore level work at a community college or technical school in a Human Resources-related field at an accredited college or university. No experience required.  Computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite required.  Data entry skills required.  Office experience preferred.

Primary Support Worker

Assists in providing for the daily care, safety and welfare for a cottage program of 10 to 12 youth. Assists in guiding youth through their treatment program, while providing for the health, and security of youth in the residential program.  The position will involve transportation of children in an approved agency vehicle.  Provides  and documents Behavioral Health Overlay Services to children with direction from the Individual/ Family /Therapist.  Participates in organization’s performance and quality improvement efforts.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Associates degree from an accredited college or university with 1 year experience working with children, or a High School diploma or GED with a minimum of 5 years extensive experience working with children.  Equivalent education and experience maybe considered, meaning 2 years of experience is needed for every 1 year of education.

Primary Caregiver

Responsible work providing for the daily care, safety and welfare for an assigned primary family of 3 to 4 clients providing for the health, and security of clients in the residential program.    Provides and documents Behavioral Health Overlay Services (BHOS) to clients with direction from the Individual/Family Therapist. Participates in organization’s continuous quality improvement efforts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduation with a BA degree from an accredited college or university in a Human  Service field with a minimum of one year experience in a residential setting.  Equivalent education and experience maybe considered, meaning 2 years of experience is needed for every 1 year of education.

• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license with no record of criminal driving offense of license suspension, subject to insurability with The Children's Home’s current auto insurance carrier.

• Must possess means of providing job related transportation and show proof of required insurance.

• Must successfully complete and maintain Department of Children & Families, FDLE, Federal background check, state criminal background check and sexual predator screening.
