AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

As an Ambassador of The Children's Home, you have taken the time to learn all that you can about our organization through Visitor Inspiration Program Tours, volunteer involvement, attending special events, and program initiative sponsorships. Below are some other ways to learn more about the programs of The Children's Home. As an Ambassador, you are able to share what you have learned and love about The Children's Home, our programs, and the children and adults we serve, with friends, family, and co-workers--anyone and everyone you meet! As an Ambassador of The Children's Home, you are excited about our work and encourage others to get involved.

Attend and Help Out at Monthly Orientations for Prospective Community Foster Care/Adoptive Parents

Orientations are held either the fourth Wednesday of the month from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. or the third Saturday of the month from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information about family orientation, contact S.E.A.R.C.H. Services at (813) 864-1435. At our orientation, learn about the unique aspects of our agency, meet the individuals you will be partnering with, and learn about the process of bringing hope to a child. 

Get Involved With Project S.E.A.R.C.H.

Learn how any group or organization can help a child find a family. Learn how this partnership can increase your organization’s exposure in the community as a good community citizen. 

Host Activities

From one-night potluck dinners to Saturday outings, activity sponsorships are always welcome as a way to thank our “professional” parents. Activities in the past have included a trip to the zoo, picnic at Fort DeSoto, bowling, skating, or a pool party. Call (813) 864-1531 for more information.

Display Posters and Brochures at Your Place of Work or Worship or Include Agency Information in Your Next Newsletter to Help:
  • Get the word out about the need for families
  • Get accurate information about the process, the benefits, and the rewards of being involved with The Children's Home
  • Correct the misinformation that keeps families from coming forward to get involved
  • Tell the success stories that often don’t get told
