WHO WE ARE

The Children's Home is a place where children learn to smile and families learn to flourish! It is not one individual program that makes us successful, but the combination of all services that make our care to children and families complete.  Over the course of a year, we will touch the lives of nearly 12,000 children and adults, by Strengthening Families through prevention and outreach, Finding & Supporting Forever Families, and Healing the Trauma of Abuse and Neglect.  The impact that we make in the lives of the people we serve is only made possible through the generosity of the community...and for that we are grateful!

FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES
Strengthening Families

Parenting is a difficult task that no one should face alone. The Family Support Center programs focus on early intervention and care to children and families who are struggling with a variety of social needs. From teaching parents how to speak English to coaching young mothers how to properly care for their children, the Children's Board Family Resource Center's programs serve thousands of families and children each year!

FINDING FOREVER FAMILIES
Kinship & Foster Care Services

We make a strong commitment to find a "forever" family for the children in our care. Our S.E.A.R.C.H. (So Every Available Ready Child has a Home) Department is a team of professionals exclusively committed to recruiting, preparing and supporting permanent families for our boys and girls. Every child deserves a home, and we are dedicated to finding one for each of them. With ongoing services for foster care families, we help ensure a successful transition for both the family and the child. We also support kinship families (grandparents, aunts, uncles, or other relatives who are caring for their grandkids, nieces, nephews, etc.). Our support services for kinship families are designed to help link families with resources in the community that they need. We also host support groups on a monthly basis to provide a chance for relative caregivers to connect with others like themselves and keep their families strong.

HEALING PROGRAMS
Healing the Trauma of Abuse & Neglect

At our nationally recognized and accredited residential treatment home, the 50 children who live on our campus begin their journey toward complete healing…mind, body and spirit. We specialize in caring for children who have been victims of abuse, neglect or abandonment, ages 6-17. From individualized therapy to balanced meals, our boys and girls learn to understand their past and realize their dreams for a promising future.
